Are you in?Your RoleKey responsibilities in your new roleBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)5+ years of experience in semiconductor applications engineering, preferably in automotivProven expertise in Automotive Ethernet technologies and Automotive Sensor/Display bridge. (e.g., 100BASE-T1, 1000BASE-T1, 10BASE-T1S, MultiGig)Strong understanding of:Ethernet PHYs and switches Network protocols: TCP/IP, AVB/TSN, SOME/IP, DoIP Signal integrity and high-speed design principles Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, network analyzers, protocol analyzers) Experience working directly with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers Excellent communication and presentation skillsYour ProfileQualifications and skills to help you succeedCustomer Engagement & Technical Leadership: Serve as the lead technical advisor for assigned OEM and Tier-1customers Drive design-in and design-win activities for Automotive Ethernet PHYs, switches, and associated products Provide system-level guidance on in-vehicle networking architectures(zonal, domain, backbone)Support customer bring-up, debugging, and optimization in hardware and software domains Conduct technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions Product & Application Support: Assist customers in schematic design reviews, layout recommendations, and signal integrity considerations Support compliance with automotive standards (OPEN Alliance, IEEE 802.3,100/1000BASE-T1, 10BASE-T1S, MultiGig Ethernet, Asymmetrical MultiGig Ethernet, etc.) Troubleshoot complex integration issues across hardware, firmware, and network layers Develop and deliver application notes, design guides, and reference implementationsCross-Functional Collaboration Act as the voice of the customer within the company to influence product roadmap and features Collaborate closely with R&D, product marketing, and quality teams Provide detailed feedback on silicon performance, specifications, and customer requirements Support failure analysis and root-cause investigationsBusiness Impact Contribute to revenue growth through successful design wins and customer retention Support account teams in pre-sales technical strategy and positioning Identify new opportunities in emerging automotive architectures (ADAS, autonomous, SDV)At Infineon, we are committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace where all voices are valued and everyone has equal opportunity to contribute to our success– Automotive (ATV) shapes the future of mobility with microelectronics enabling clean, safe, and smart cars – The ATV division is shaping the future of mobility by enabling clean, safe, and smart cars.
