This full-time role involves itinerant work across multiple school sites, supporting students from pre-kindergarten through transition age (up to 22 years old) and collaborating closely with teachers, staff, and families.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) credentials through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Active educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Previous school-based experience is highly preferred
• Comfortable traveling between elementary, middle, and high school campuses as assigned
• Strong communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage diverse student caseloads and adapt strategies accordingly
• Willingness to complete required fingerprinting and credentialing steps promptly

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills needed for participation in the school environment
• Document student progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Collaborate with classroom staff to integrate therapeutic strategies throughout the school day
• Travel between assigned buildings within the school district, adapting to varying schedules

This contract runs through June 9, 2027, offering consistent hours between 35-37.5 per week, with daily schedules aligning to each school’s unique start and end times.
