The Office of the Capital Collateral Regional Counsel Middle Region ("CCRC-M") has an opening for a full-time records management position in Tampa, Florida. CCRC-M is an agency within the judicial branch of the state of Florida, similar to a public defender or a state attorney's office. The CCRC-M is an all-capital unit, and represents each person convicted and sentenced to death in this state for the sole purpose of instituting and prosecuting collateral actions challenging the legality of the judgment and sentence imposed against such person in the state courts, federal courts in this state, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

Requirements: Applicants should have an education or background in records management. A background related to work in a law firm or government agency is preferred, but relevant experience in other fields such as medical records will be considered preferential as well. Additionally, familiarity with case management software such as CLIO, STAC, defenderDATA, LegalServer and other similar platforms is also preferred in a candidate, as well as possessing the technical acumen to navigate and manage such programs with little oversight.

Job Duties: The Records Manager is responsible for the oversight of all physical and digital records systems in the office and operates under the supervision of the Chief Operations Officer. This position serves as subject matter expert on capital post-conviction records for retention and processing, compliance, and disposition. This role also serves as oversight of records within an electronic document management system existing both within a case management system and in other digital records systems (such as, but not limited to, SharePoint, OneDrive, and networked shared drives). The Records Manager ensures that both digital and physical records remain accessible, accurate, and secure.

Salary/Benefits: This is a full-time, at-will position. The starting salary range is $45,000 to $50,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and previous experience in records management. Please note that salary is a portion of your total compensation, as benefits include health and life insurance as well as various supplemental plans; and paid annual leave, sick leave, and state-recognized holidays.
