Work Environment

This position is anchored in a vibrant, client-centered rehabilitation facility located in Arlington, VA. Our on-site work environment fosters teamwork and support, as you will be collaborating closely with a small, dedicated team comprising two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant. We pride ourselves on maintaining an atmosphere that values patient care and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their needs and objectives regarding mobility and function.
• Implement individualized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to enhance recovery.
• Evaluate and optimize therapy sessions, typically managing 2-3 patients per hour while ensuring quality care.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Monitor patient progress, adapting treatment plans as needed to ensure alignment with recovery goals.
• Educate patients about exercise, injury prevention, and rehabilitation techniques to inspire their commitment to treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Utilize EMR software, specifically WebPT, to accurately document patient information and treatment progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and conditions requiring rehabilitation for movement and function improvement. We serve a diverse spectrum of clients, ranging from professional athletes looking to return to peak performance to older adults working to restore mobility and independence. Our focus is on providing personalized care to help each patient achieve their unique goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program is required.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no record of disciplinary action.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Experience with electronic medical records, particularly WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience in orthopedic outpatient care is required.
• Experience working in a sports medicine context or with an active client population is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
