Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care to patients suffering from orthopedic injuries, tailoring treatment plans to meet their specific goals and needs.
• Assess and establish effective therapeutic interventions that focus on restoring motion and enhancing mobility, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Maintain a balanced patient caseload that allows for intimate, one-on-one interactions, ensuring that each individual receives the time and attention they deserve.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans leveraging a variety of treatment modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to control pain and inflammation.
• Document patient progress accurately using EMR software, particularly WebPT, to streamline communication and maintain precise records.
• Motivate and educate patients on fitness and wellness principles to promote healthy lifestyle choices that contribute to their long-term recovery.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients who are seeking rehabilitation following injuries, surgeries, or conditions affecting their musculoskeletal systems. Our clientele includes individuals with sports-related injuries, post-surgical patients, and individuals managing chronic conditions, all requiring tailored rehabilitative care to restore function and alleviate pain.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Currently licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, with no sanctions or disciplinary history.
• Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and a robust understanding of orthopedic conditions.
• Strong ability to create and execute successful exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience in effective use of electronic medical records, with preference for skills in WebPT.
• Commitment to staying current with the latest developments and research in physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Familiarity with evidence-based interventions and a proven track record of delivering successful patient outcomes.
• Ability to foster therapeutic relationships with patients, ensuring their comfort and collaboration throughout the treatment process.

Compensation and Benefits
