Position Overview

Trails Rehabilitation & Wellness Pro is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Fairfax, Virginia. This full-time, onsite position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually and enables you to make a significant impact in the lives of patients encountering orthopedic challenges. Work Environment

You will work from Monday to Friday, with hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Consulting with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care while recognizing and documenting any changes in patient conditions.
• Implementing individualized treatment protocols based on thorough evaluations, leveraging your clinical knowledge to adapt approaches as needed to meet patient needs.
• Conducting detailed evaluations, including the review of pertinent medical history, assessment of functional and movement capabilities, and thorough documentation to inform treatment plans.
• Managing discharge planning effectively, ensuring that follow-up care is organized and communicated, along with precise documentation of all patient interactions, evaluations, and progress notes.
• Engaging in continuous professional education to comply with state and federal regulations, while also enhancing personal skill sets relevant to current best practices in rehabilitation.
• Maintaining open communication with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to foster understanding and collaboration throughout the treatment process.
• Participating in clinical meetings to contribute insights and updates related to patient care and clinic operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will predominantly focus on patients experiencing orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, injury recovery, and chronic pain management. You will leverage evidence-based techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education to improve mobility and function, ultimately helping patients return to their daily activities or sports safely and effectively.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia, or eligibility for licensure.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers as issued by the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience in an orthopedic setting is required, we value all applicants who demonstrate clinical competency, an eagerness to learn, and a passion for patient advocacy. Experience in outpatient rehabilitation and knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems will be considered a plus.
