Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to develop customized treatment plans that address individual goals and recovery needs.
• Maintain a balanced patient load to provide ample, focused time to each individual, ensuring high-quality care throughout the therapeutic process.
• Implement evidence-based treatments in orthopedic outpatient care, utilizing your expertise to enhance patient mobility.
• Focus on non-surgical approaches, adopting cost-effective methods that minimize reliance on medications and promote natural healing.
• Design and adjust comprehensive care strategies that incorporate various therapeutic techniques, optimizing each patient's recovery potential.
• Encourage and motivate patients to remain engaged in their physical therapy sessions and recovery goals.
• Educate patients on healthy lifestyles, including fitness, nutrition, and wellness practices, to support long-term health improvements.
• Collaborate with fellow clinicians and healthcare providers to share insights and enhance interdisciplinary care approaches.
• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of treatment interventions and monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Maintain precise and detailed documentation of treatment sessions and progress notes using EMR software, such as WebPT, to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will focus on a diverse outpatient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will employ your skills to assist patients of all ages in regaining functionality and independence, addressing both the physical and emotional aspects of recovery.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active and unencumbered Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• Impeccable professional record with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques, demonstrating proficiency in various modalities.
• Ability to design and implement successful exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, especially WebPT, for effective patient charting and documentation.
• Strong foundation in current physical therapy practices, supported by ongoing research and best practices.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting with a focus on orthopedic care.
• A proven track record of employing evidence-based practices to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with advanced physical therapy modalities and rehabilitative tools.

Compensation and Benefits
