Work Environment

This position is onsite at our rehabilitation center in Centreville, VA, where we prioritize a supportive and dynamic work environment. You will collaborate with two fellow physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA) to create an atmosphere conducive to professional development and patient success. Our standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to ascertain individual goals and rehabilitation needs, ensuring a personalized treatment approach.
• Maintain a patient caseload of one individual per hour to provide focused and attentive care.
• Utilize expertise in orthopedic outpatient treatment to formulate effective care plans that leverage a variety of therapeutic modalities.
• Implement evidence-based treatment interventions designed to improve patient mobility and functionality while minimizing dependence on medications.
• Motivate and educate patients on their care, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages active participation in their recovery process.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking the effectiveness of treatments and maintaining open lines of communication with patients regarding their care journey.
• Develop customized fitness and wellness programs that promote a proactive approach to health, aiding in injury prevention and enhancing overall wellness.
• Evaluate treatment effects regularly, adjusting care plans according to the observed progress and patient feedback.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration, working closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Engage with patients to promote healthy lifestyle choices through education on strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, encompassing a diverse patient demographic that values high-quality care. Our clinic primarily serves individuals with private insurance, ensuring that our patients receive optimal treatment without the constraints often experienced in larger healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Centreville, Virginia, with no prior board or disciplinary actions against the license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic techniques.
• Ability to design effective exercise routines tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to enhance patient documentation and workflow efficiency.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating strong clinical acumen and patient management skills.
• Experience working with a diverse patient population and understanding of varying rehabilitation protocols.

Compensation and Benefits
