Work Environment

The work environment at Millennium Physical Therapy Services fosters collaboration and support. You will work onsite, with a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. This full-time role is set within a bustling outpatient clinic where you will handle a manageable patient load, allowing for personalized care and strong patient-therapist interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and understand the goals and needs of each patient, ensuring that personalized care plans are developed and implemented effectively.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour to ensure focused attention and optimal treatment.
• Utilize your experience in orthopedic outpatient care to provide high-quality therapeutic services, engaging with patients through hands-on techniques and exercise.
• Provide cost-effective treatment options aimed at enhancing clients' motion and mobility, while minimizing reliance on medications.
• Develop and adjust care plans using a variety of therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices.
• Create and implement customized fitness and wellness programs tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Motivate and guide patients throughout their treatment process, ensuring they remain engaged and focused on their recovery objectives.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle by incorporating strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination training into therapeutic practices.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Continuously evaluate treatment outcomes and document progress thoroughly and accurately.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Millennium Physical Therapy Services, we primarily cater to individuals with private medical insurance. Our diverse patient population includes those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain issues, and other physical conditions that require specialized therapeutic intervention.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Burke, VA with no board actions or disciplinary actions against it.
• Proficiency in manual therapy skills and the ability to design effective exercise routines to improve patient outcomes.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, preferably WebPT, ensuring efficient documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, understanding the unique needs and challenges of this patient population.
• Strong communication skills, adept at fostering relationships with patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• A proactive approach to patient care, with a focus on holistic and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
