This full-time position is pivotal in offering specialized physical therapy services to patients recovering from orthopedic conditions. Work Environment

This position is onsite at our modern outpatient clinic located in Sterling, Virginia, where you will collaborate as part of a dynamic team consisting of two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our fostering atmosphere emphasizes teamwork and professional development while ensuring a patient-centered approach to care. With a full-time work schedule operating Monday through Friday, you will enjoy consistent, predictable hours to help maintain work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical condition, personal goals, and rehabilitation needs to develop customized treatment plans.
• Manage a caseload of patients, prioritizing one-on-one treatment sessions of approximately one patient per hour to provide a comprehensive and detailed approach to care.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including manual therapy techniques and tailored exercise programs, to enhance patient mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, making data-driven adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment protocols, progress notes, and outcomes using our WebPT EMR software.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in orthopedics, such as orthopedic surgeons and nursing staff, to ensure integrated and effective patient care.
• Advocate for non-surgical treatment methodologies, promoting an approach that reduces dependence on medications and enhances patients' quality of life.
• Inspire and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, empowering them to reach their personal performance and well-being goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, many of whom are athletes or individuals recovering from surgery or injury. You will be entering a collaborative environment where you can positively influence the rehabilitation experience of each patient, ensuring that their care is tailored to their unique needs and concerns.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid and clean physical therapy license in Virginia.
• Demonstrable experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Strong knowledge and practical skills in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• Familiarity with WebPT EMR software to enhance patient management and documentation practices.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, additional experience in sports rehabilitation or specialized orthopedic training will be advantageous, as will any advanced certifications in manual therapy. Previous experience in developing and implementing patient-specific exercise protocols will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
