Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' needs, including reviewing pertinent medical history, performing specific assessments, and establishing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide clear explanations of evaluation results and collaboratively set achievable goals with patients and their families.
• Implement treatment protocols using advanced therapeutic techniques tailored to each patient's unique presentation and rehabilitation requirements.
• Regularly consult with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to discuss changes in patient status and modify care plans as necessary.
• Complete all required documentation timely and accurately, including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, interim summaries, and discharge reports, ensuring they reflect patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Maintain a well-organized schedule, demonstrating effective time management to meet productivity expectations while supporting patient needs.
• Engage in community outreach and marketing activities to promote patient access to care and the services available in our clinic.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by pursuing continuing education opportunities and mentoring students as a clinical instructor.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. The diversity of our patient population allows for a rich clinical experience, while your interventions will play a critical role in restoring mobility and functionality. Each interaction emphasizes a person-centered approach, focusing on not only physical rehabilitation but also on behavioral health and community reintegration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Current state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Current American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.

Compensation and Benefits
