Work Environment

Located in the thriving community of Herndon, Virginia, our outpatient office offers a supportive and engaging work environment. You will be part of a small team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) who collaborate closely to deliver comprehensive patient care. The center is equipped with modern rehabilitation tools and technologies to facilitate effective physical therapies, ensuring your role as a therapist will be impactful and fulfilling.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals, requirements, and functional limitations upon their initial visit.
• Manage a balanced patient caseload, ensuring that each individual receives focused care with an average of one patient per hour.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing a broad range of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Utilize your expertise in manual therapy and exercise prescription to help patients improve their mobility and strength.
• Guide patients in reducing reliance on pain medications and explore viable alternatives to surgical interventions.
• Implement educational strategies to empower patients regarding self-management techniques and lifestyle modifications.
• Continuously evaluate treatment outcomes, monitor progress, and adjust care strategies as needed.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments meticulously to ensure compliance with healthcare standards and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Provide insights into health and wellness programming that encourages a lifestyle of fitness, balance, and coordination among patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus is predominantly on orthopedic rehabilitation, serving a diverse clientele who require post-operative care, injury rehabilitation, and preventative strategies aimed at enhancing physical wellness. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Demonstrated integrity with no prior disciplinary actions against your professional license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and evidence-based modalities.
• Exceptional capability in developing customized exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR software systems, particularly WebPT, to manage patient records effectively.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development, with a history of engaging in continuing education opportunities.

Compensation and Benefits
