Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized physical therapy care to patients, actively engaging them in setting personal health and mobility goals.
• Maintain a manageable patient caseload, ensuring each patient receives dedicated, focused care during their visits.
• Apply your knowledge of orthopedic physical therapy to design and implement treatment plans that optimize patient recovery.
• Incorporate cost-effective and innovative therapies aimed at enhancing patients' movement capabilities.
• Encourage decreased reliance on medications through non-surgical treatment options, emphasizing natural recovery methods.
• Develop and execute comprehensive care plans that utilize a variety of treatment techniques and modalities.
• Create personalized fitness and wellness programs that align with each patient's unique requirements and recovery goals.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to deliver targeted, effective therapy that addresses the specific needs of each patient.
• Provide continuous motivation and encouragement to patients through their rehabilitation journey.

• Regularly assess and document each patient's progress, maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. Our patient population is diverse, including athletes, active individuals, and those looking to regain mobility after surgery or injury. Your role will allow you to empower these individuals to achieve their maximum potential and improve their daily living activities.

Qualifications

• The candidate must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia is required, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• A clean license history, with no sanctions or board proceedings, is essential to maintain our clinic's high standards.
• Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques is expected, along with a deep understanding of exercise science.
• Experience in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly Web PT, for detailed patient documentation.
• Staying up-to-date with current research-based physical therapy practices is critical for effective patient care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy, with a strong focus on rehabilitation techniques.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective exercise programs tailored to diverse patient populations.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.

Compensation and Benefits
