Work Environment

The role is primarily based onsite at our cutting-edge rehabilitation facility in Herndon, Virginia. Our center offers a vibrant, supportive clinic environment where our team utilizes advanced technologies and treatment methodologies to optimize patient recovery. As a full-time staff member, you will enjoy a structured work schedule from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' functional abilities and limitations to provide personalized therapy plans.
• Design and implement individualized treatment protocols that address diverse orthopedic challenges, utilizing both manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions.
• Maintain a focused patient caseload to ensure comprehensive care, enabling you to devote necessary time and attention to each individual.
• Educate patients on alternative non-surgical treatment options to reduce dependence on medications and promote healing.
• Continually assess patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment sessions meticulously using electronic medical record systems, particularly Web PT, ensuring compliance and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare disciplines to provide holistic patient care and to ensure comprehensive strategies are in place for recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with an outpatient population suffering from orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. The diverse patient demographics at our facility include varying age groups, from active young athletes to older adults seeking to regain their independence through effective therapy.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current, active license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia with no history of sanctions or complaints.
• Exceptional skills in a range of manual therapy techniques and a strong foundation in designing effective exercise programs.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR), particularly familiarity with Web PT for documentation and patient management.
• Strong analytical skills to assess patient needs and outcomes effectively.

Preferred Experience

Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting will be a significant advantage. Additionally, a background in sports medicine or knowledge of specific therapeutic interventions for common orthopedic issues will enhance your application. Staying abreast of the latest trends and research in physical therapy practices is encouraged.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
