Key Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at aiding in patient recovery and rehabilitation. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations that include reviewing patient history, performing detailed assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Clearly communicating evaluation findings and treatment recommendations to patients and their families, actively involving them in the goal-setting process.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols that align with the patient's specific needs, condition, and overall health objectives.
• Maintaining open lines of communication with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
• Monitoring patient progress and documenting any significant changes in condition to adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Completing discharge planning and coordinating follow-up care to ensure seamless transitions post-therapy.
• Documenting patient care activities accurately and timely, ensuring all records reflect the patient's course of treatment and progress.
• Engaging in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote awareness and accessibility of our services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves a diverse patient population with a focus on orthopedic conditions—including post-surgical patients, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience is not required, candidates with experience in outpatient orthopedic settings will be preferred. Knowledge of current physical therapy practices and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
