Small Changes Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to become an integral part of our team at our rehabilitation facility located in Herndon, Virginia. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for guiding patients through tailored recovery programs, helping them regain mobility, alleviating pain, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Work Environment

Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with the latest technology and treatment modalities. You will be working directly in our outpatient clinic, where you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including orthopedic surgeons, athletic trainers, and wellness coaches. Our standard work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a consistent schedule conducive to work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations for new patients to identify unique needs and establish individualized treatment plans.
• Administer effective therapeutic interventions, employing various manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions to optimize patient mobility.
• Enhance patient engagement by motivating and supporting them through their rehabilitation process, ensuring they understand their treatment goals.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to modify treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and patient progress reports.
• Document patient care meticulously using EMR systems like Web PT to maintain accurate and comprehensive records of treatments delivered.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Educate patients on lifestyle choices and goals that contribute to ongoing health and wellness post-treatment.
• Commit to continuous education by staying updated with the latest research and advancements in orthopedic physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your expertise in orthopedic care will allow you to develop specialized programs for each patient, focusing on their specific recovery journeys. By prioritizing individualized and compassionate care, you will help a diverse range of clients get back to their functional activities and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia with a clean history free from sanctions or board proceedings.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in orthopedic settings.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation exercises.
• Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in using electronic medical record software, primarily Web PT.
• A commitment to lifelong learning and professional development in the field of physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic clinic is highly desirable.
• Demonstrable success in managing a caseload while providing high-quality care.
• Familiarity with latest research and techniques in physical therapy to enhance patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
