Position Overview

Care First Motion Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Physical Therapist to join our team in Reston, Virginia. This role focuses on empowering patients in their journey towards optimal mobility and quality of life. You will work collaboratively with patients to restore their movement abilities through evidence-based treatment methodologies in a supportive outpatient environment.

Work Environment

The work setting is an onsite outpatient office in Reston, Virginia, where you will join a collaborative team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our operating hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, creating a balanced work-life schedule conducive to productivity and patient focus.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify patients' goals and needs, developing tailored treatment plans accordingly.
• In each session, you will typically see 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring personalized attention while efficiently managing time.
• Implement a range of orthopedic treatment techniques aimed at improving mobility, minimizing pain, and encouraging clients' active participation in their rehabilitation.
• Utilize manual therapy skills and therapeutic exercises to enhance patients' strength, flexibility, and overall functional capabilities.
• Educate patients on alternative treatment options that may reduce reliance on medication and surgical intervention.
• Regularly consult and collaborate with other health professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Use EMR software like WebPT to document patient care services systematically, ensuring comprehensive patient records and progress tracking.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve the best outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, many of whom will be recovering from surgeries or injuries. You will work with a diverse range of clients, from athletes seeking to return to sport to seniors looking to regain mobility in their daily lives. Our goal is to provide high-quality, individualized, evidence-based care that meets each patient's unique needs.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapist license in Virginia, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Competency in manual therapy techniques and a strong foundation in therapeutic exercises.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, including familiarity with common treatment practices and patient management workflows.
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, based on experience and qualifications.
