Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical statuses as referred by healthcare providers.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Deliver exceptional patient care by utilizing a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise programs, and technology-assisted treatments.
• Educate patients and their families on exercise programs, wellness strategies, and rehabilitation goals, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Maintain comprehensive patient records following established protocols and compliance standards.
• Actively participate in team meetings and case discussions to maximize patient outcomes.
• Ensure a high-quality standard of customer service by addressing patient concerns and feedback promptly.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injury-related conditions, and chronic musculoskeletal issues. You will also have opportunities to engage with pediatric and neurologic patients, allowing for a diverse caseload. With a commitment to providing care that respects each patient's unique circumstances, you will strive to facilitate their recovery journey and support their return to active lifestyles.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, adept in relationship building with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficient in technology systems relevant to physical therapy documentation and scheduling.
• A demonstrated passion for patient care and a desire to create positive therapeutic experiences.

Preferred Experience

While new graduates are welcome to apply, preference will be given to those with previous experience in orthopedic settings or complex patient cases. Knowledge of current evidence-based practices and involvement in professional development activities will be advantageous to candidates.

Compensation and Benefits
