Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring optimal muscle function.
• Evaluate clients' physical capabilities through in-depth tests of muscle, nerve, and functional abilities, tailoring assessments to meet their unique needs.
• Provide rehabilitation services directly within the facility while making recommendations for home environment modifications to enhance patient independence.
• Administer a range of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, traction, and the application of physical agents like heat and cold therapies.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure high-quality delivery of care in alignment with state regulations.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records documenting initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences, collaborating with team members regarding comprehensive treatment strategies for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients and their families about their treatment plans, spatial adjustments needed for at-home care, as well as instruction on physical therapy devices.
• Stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy practices and integrate them into clinical practice to enhance treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on orthopedic conditions, rehabilitation from surgeries, and chronic pain management. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapist.
• Current CPR certification.
