Work Environment

This position is onsite at our facility in Arlington, VA, ensuring that you can engage directly with patients and collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals. You will work alongside two experienced physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), all of whom share a commitment to providing top-tier orthopedic care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patient conditions to formulate individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving specific health goals.
• Conduct thorough treatments with a patient load of one individual per hour, providing a focused and tailored approach to care delivery.
• Implement a range of therapeutic modalities and manually assist patients in various exercises to enhance their mobility and functional abilities.
• Promote non-surgical interventions while minimizing dependence on medication through holistic rehabilitation strategies.
• Monitor patient progress through regular assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions, assessments, and treatment interventions in our EMR system, ensuring accurate and comprehensive patient records.
• Encourage patient motivation throughout their treatment, employing a positive and encouraging communication style.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, fostering a seamless continuum of treatment.
• Promote health education initiatives focusing on wellness, preventative care, and lifestyle changes to facilitate long-term success.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice predominantly serves individuals with private medical insurance, including active adults, athletes, and individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries. You will be engaging with patients from diverse backgrounds, all with varying levels of physical ability and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or a relevant Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia, with no prior board actions or disciplinary issues.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a solid foundation in developing effective exercise and rehabilitation routines.
• Experience with EMR systems such as WebPT to facilitate streamlined patient documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, ideally having familiarity with industry best practices and rehabilitation methodologies.
• Demonstrated success in creating specialized fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The offered compensation range for this role is competitive, with an annual salary between USD 90,000 and 110,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401k with employer match, paid time off, and continuing education allowances to support your professional development.
