Position Overview

We are actively seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Physical Therapist to join our esteemed orthopedic outpatient practice in Arlington, Virginia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our patients as they work towards regaining mobility and improving their overall quality of life. Your expertise in physical therapy will be utilized to promote health, prevent injury, and facilitate rehabilitation through proven treatment modalities.

About the Organization

Overlake Joints and Bones Medical Clinic is a leading rehabilitation facility dedicated to providing exceptional orthopedic care within a state-of-the-art 5,000-square-foot sports medicine environment. Our team is composed of skilled professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). We pride ourselves on delivering personalized treatment plans for our diverse patient base, primarily comprised of individuals covered by private medical insurance who seek to regain their mobility and functionality.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position, contributing to a collaborative environment where your skills will be valued and your contributions recognized. Each day you will engage directly with patients, providing one-on-one therapy sessions that allow you to maximize your impact. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, which promotes a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and address the individual goals and needs of each patient through comprehensive evaluations.
• Maintain an optimal patient load, ensuring a focus on quality care by managing one patient per hour.
• Design, implement, and modify personalized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques aimed at improving motion and mobility.
• Utilize your strong manual therapy skills to enhance treatment effectiveness and ensure patient comfort.
• Educate patients about their conditions, provide cost-effective treatments, and promote non-surgical alternatives to minimize medication reliance.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and rehabilitation team members, to optimize patient care.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and maintain clear communication across multidisciplinary teams.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in compliance with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Our practice primarily serves patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. This includes athletes, active individuals, and those seeking to improve their mobility post-operation. Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and active licensure as a Physical Therapist in Arlington, VA, without any board or disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated competence in manual therapy and the development of effective exercise routines.
• Proficiency in utilizing EMR software such as WebPT for documentation and patient management.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and tailor treatments accordingly.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Experience with evidence-based practice and current trends in physical therapy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients and other healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
