Key Responsibilities

• Effectively evaluate patients through the use of advanced diagnostic and prognostic tests related to muscle, nerve, and joint function, tailoring treatment plans accordingly.
• Develop, implement, and direct individualized physical therapy treatment programs aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring function.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring that they adhere to the established plan of care and execute their responsibilities with best practices.
• Conduct thorough assessments of the home environment for rehabilitation potential, providing actionable recommendations to enhance patient independence.
• Administer manual therapy techniques, traction, and therapeutic exercises, instructing and motivating clients through their rehabilitation goals.
• Engage with clients and families to educate them on treatment procedures and advise on the use and care of physical therapy equipment.
• Maintain detailed clinical records including initial evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and review holistic care strategies, ensuring a coordinated approach to patient treatment.
• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions, making timely adjustments to therapy plans as needed, and communicating effectively with medical staff and case managers.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through training and education to stay current with advancements in physical therapy and rehabilitation techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse client population that includes individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited program.
• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Virginia.

• Proven expertise in manual therapy and the ability to design successful rehabilitation programs.
• Competence in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for efficient documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
