Position Overview

Work Environment

This position will be conducted onsite within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in Herndon, VA. The facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic tools and technologies, enabling our therapists to provide innovative treatment options. Our typical working hours are Monday to Friday, with shifts from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, allowing for a work-life balance essential for our employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in a rehabilitation setting to assess their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations, utilizing evidence-based methodologies and techniques.
• Administer hands-on therapies, exercises, and educational training to reduce pain and improve mobility.
• Document all treatment sessions meticulously, tracking patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery.
• Provide education and training to patients and their families on self-care practices, the use of assistive devices, and strategies for continued improvement at home.
• Maintain up-to-date professional knowledge through workshops, literature, and ongoing education to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care, addressing all aspects of a patient's rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As part of our rehabilitation team, you will work with a varied patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric clients. The conditions addressed include post-operative recovery, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain management. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is essential.
• A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy is required.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience is necessary.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic computer and word processing skills.
• Ability to adapt and respond flexibly to varying patient needs and environments.
