Spine and Joint Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Alexandria, Virginia. In this role, you will partner with patients on their journey to regain mobility and achieve their highest functionality. At Spine and Joint Rehab Center, we pride ourselves on our patient-centered approach in a state-of-the-art 5,000 square-foot facility designed for sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation. As a privately owned practice, we predominantly serve individuals with private medical insurance, which allows us to focus on personalized care without the constraints often found in larger healthcare organizations. Our team consists of a close-knit group of skilled professionals, including two dedicated physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), all committed to delivering exceptional service to our community.

Work Environment

This onsite position allows you to work closely with a diverse patient population within our modern home care facility. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a stable work-life balance perfect for professionals looking to make a meaningful difference during standard business hours. Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical abilities, health histories, and specific rehabilitation goals through specialized evaluations and diagnostic tests.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, typically treating one individual per hour to ensure quality care while maintaining high treatment outcomes.
• Design and implement individualized treatment protocols that utilize a range of techniques and evidence-based interventions.
• Monitor patient progress, modify treatment plans as necessary, and ensure effective communication with patients regarding their treatment journey.
• Encourage a proactive approach to health by developing comprehensive wellness and fitness programs tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment provided, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with relevant legal and company standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide well-rounded care that addresses various health concerns and maintains continuity of service.
• Motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process, setting realistic expectations and celebrating milestones to boost morale and commitment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on clients recovering from orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain syndromes. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide demographic of patients, including athletes, post-operative individuals, and those with long-standing musculoskeletal issues. The goal is to empower patients through education and tailored therapeutic interventions, enabling them to achieve a higher level of health and wellness.

Qualifications

• An earned Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure a strong foundation in rehabilitative practices.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia is mandatory, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• A clean professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions taken against your license is essential.
• A high level of proficiency in manual therapy techniques is highly valued, enabling hands-on treatment to facilitate recovery.
• Strong competency in creating and implementing exercise protocols that enhance patient rehabilitation is critical.
• Experience in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, will streamline your workflow and documentation processes.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working within orthopedic outpatient settings is beneficial, providing you with relevant knowledge of patient needs and treatment protocols.
• A background in sports therapy can be advantageous, given our patient focus on athletes and sports-related injuries.

Compensation and Benefits
