Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Trinity Bone and Joint Rehabilitation Center in Reston, Virginia. Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our outpatient clinic, which is expertly designed to cater to orthopedic rehabilitation needs. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team composed of other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, you will ensure a cohesive approach to patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, identifying their specific conditions and needs.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans that address the individual goals of each patient while using evidence-based practices.
• Perform therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities tailored to the needs of orthopedic patients.
• Monitor patient progress closely to make necessary adjustments to treatment plans and achieve optimal healthcare outcomes.
• Deliver patient education to empower clients and their caregivers, ensuring they understand their condition and rehabilitation processes.
• Utilize modern tools and technologies to document and track patient progress through our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring accurate and timely communication with the healthcare team.
• Engage in team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to share best practices and improve overall clinic effectiveness.
• Work towards achieving the set utilization goals while positively contributing to the clinic's objectives and growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic is diverse, predominantly comprising individuals facing orthopedic challenges, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and age-related musculoskeletal issues. This role requires a compassionate and empathetic approach to care, as you help patients from various backgrounds regain their strength, mobility, and confidence. Your expertise will also extend to pediatric patients, ensuring that the rehabilitation process is both engaging and effective.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active State License in Physical Therapy, allowing you to practice in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association or equivalent recognized agency.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills essential for effective patient interactions and teamwork.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience in physical therapy is required, we highly value any additional experience in specialized orthopedic techniques or pediatric therapy, as this can further enhance patient care. Proficiency in using EHR systems will also be beneficial for maintaining accurate patient records and facilitating efficient communication.
