Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, including comprehensive assessments of muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities, to create effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Implement treatment modalities designed to alleviate pain, prevent disability, restore range of motion, and improve overall physical functionality in accordance with physician guidelines.
• Regularly oversee and guide the work of Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs), ensuring the fidelity of the treatment plan is maintained, and quality of care is optimized.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and advanced technology to administer rehabilitation programs personalized to each patient's unique needs.
• Evaluate the home environments of patients, making necessary recommendations to enhance independence and safety, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records including evaluations, care plans, daily notes, and discharge summaries, contributing to continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate comprehensive care plans, sharing insights and strategies to enhance patient recovery.
• Instruct patients and their families on exercise techniques, the use of assistive devices, and self-management strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Engage with community resources and programs that can aid in the support and rehabilitation of our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients treated at our Centreville facility vary widely in their needs, ranging from post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation to chronic pain management. Our physical therapists are committed to providing care that respects the individual story of each patient, recognizing their specific challenges and goals. This role will involve working with diverse populations, including elderly patients requiring mobility improvements, athletes undergoing rehabilitation from sports injuries, and individuals recovering from surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Active, unrestricted physical therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in an orthopedic rehabilitation context.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license, along with automobile insurance.
• Strong commitment to clinical excellence, with a passion for improving patient outcomes through innovative care.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, essential for effective teamwork and patient education.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a multidisciplinary setting is advantageous, fostering collaborative practice.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
