Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Ortho Prime, your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and directing personalized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, enhancing functional abilities, and promoting recovery in alignment with prescribed care protocols.
• Overseeing the efforts of physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to the established treatment plans and delivering optimal patient care.
• Evaluating patients' functional capabilities through comprehensive testing of muscle, nerve, joint, and overall physical performance to set appropriate therapy goals.
• Assessing patients' home environments for accessibility and safety, making recommendations that empower patients to reclaim their independence.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, educating, and motivating clients through various rehabilitation activities, while providing hands-on physical treatment, including traction and massage.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices while conferring modifications to the referring physician.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries to ensure continuity of care.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment plans and collaborate on patient care strategies for a holistic approach to recovery.
• Instructing clients and their families on the rehabilitation process and the proper use of physical therapy equipment and exercises.
• Completing required documentation promptly and in accordance with company policies, including clinical and payroll records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Your role is pivotal in helping these patients regain their functional abilities and re-establish their independence, significantly contributing to improved health outcomes.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid and current PT licensure in good standing for the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification to ensure safety in all patient interactions.
• A valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance to attend in-home patient visits as necessary.
• A passion for delivering clinical excellence while continually enhancing skills and knowledge in orthopedic physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist is required, candidates with a background in acute care or home care settings will be preferred. Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials.
