Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, involving the analysis of medical history and performance of specialized assessments to determine individualized care plans.
• Effectively communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and their families, actively involving them in the goal-setting process.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to the patient's unique needs and conditions, while remaining adaptable to the changing healthcare landscape.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, making timely decisions regarding modifications to care plans based on continuous assessment of patient progress.
• Manage all aspects of patient documentation, including accurate and timely entries that paint a clear picture of the patient's journey through therapy.
• Demonstrate effective time management skills and maintain patient scheduling to meet productivity expectations while ensuring high-quality care.
• Participate in community outreach efforts to enhance accessibility and awareness of our services, contributing to marketing initiatives.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, including serving as a clinical instructor for students in the field.
• Foster a culture of excellent customer service, ensuring each patient's experience is positive and supportive throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal disorders. You will work with a diverse patient population comprising adolescents to seniors, adapting your approach to meet individual needs for optimal recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) through the Virginia Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• Two years of relevant orthopedic physical therapy experience is required.
• Active CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient rehabilitation setting is preferred, particularly in managing orthopedic cases.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and tracking of patient progress.

Compensation and Benefits
