PT Plus Physical Therapy & Wellness Centers is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our vibrant team in Fairfax, Virginia. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to our patients, focusing on orthopedic conditions. You will play a crucial role in helping individuals regain their mobility and independence while establishing a therapeutic relationship that fosters recovery and empowerment.

Work Environment

Working onsite at our outpatient facility, you will be part of a collaborative team of healthcare professionals focused on improving the lives of our patients. The environment is conducive to learning, intercambio, and professional growth, with opportunities for continuing education workshops and team-based discussions to further enhance patient care practices. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs as per state and practice standards.
• Assess a patient's mobility, strength, and functional capabilities, establishing realistic goals to improve these areas in alignment with the patient's abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans encompassing both short-term and long-term goals, tailored to the specific requirements of each patient and coordinating with other healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Regularly adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and response to therapy, ensuring optimal recovery outcomes.
• Document all aspects of patient care meticulously, adhering to clinic protocols and standard medical documentation practices.
• Keep abreast of advancements in physical therapy through continuous education and professional development, attending relevant workshops and trainings.
• Engage in practicum discussions with peers to refine therapy approaches and improve team dynamics and patient care delivery.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and therapeutic environment that promotes healing and rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and those managing chronic pain conditions. By employing a compassionate approach to care, you will encourage patients of all ages to actively engage in their recovery journey, ensuring a supportive and motivating atmosphere.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• An active Physical Therapy license for the state of Virginia is mandatory.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with AED training is expected.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in providing orthopedic physical therapy services is essential.
• A strong sense of empathy and the ability to motivate patients effectively while ensuring their safety and promoting health awareness.
• Familiarity with safe and effective use of rehabilitation equipment and proven best practices in the field.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum experience required is two years, candidates with additional experience in specialized orthopedic interventions or advanced therapeutic techniques will be preferred, enabling us to expand the range of services offered at PT Plus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually , based on experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits include:
