Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, improving and restoring muscle function, and maintaining optimal performance based on each client's individual capabilities.
• Oversee the work of physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to established treatment plans and delivering high-quality patient care.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional abilities through various diagnostic and prognostic tests pertinent to muscles, nerves, joints, and overall physical performance.
• Assess the home and rehabilitation environments to provide recommendations that enhance patients' independence and quality of life.
• Deliver prescribed physical therapy services, including manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage, while also guiding clients through non-manual therapeutic activities.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, providing feedback and recommended modifications to physicians as necessary.
• Participate in developing, reviewing, and updating individualized care plans for each patient.
• Record and report changes in clients' conditions, providing feedback to physicians and coordinators to refine ongoing treatment strategies.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries for each patient.
• Engage in case conferences with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive treatment is provided.
• Instruct and empower family members in the usage and care of therapeutic devices, as well as providing guidance on the overall physical therapy program.
• Support and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they deliver effective therapies as part of the treatment plans.
• Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as they arise to support organizational goals and enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a member of our team, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Our clients range from young athletes to elderly patients, reflecting the community of Fairfax and surrounding areas. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting.
• Current PT licensure in good standing within the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence and a passion for improving patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a rehabilitation facility or home healthcare setting is highly valued.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective care plans for diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits

This Full-Time Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
