Healing Touch Physical Therapy is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will support patients in their rehabilitation journey, focusing on restoring their mobility and enhancing their overall physical performance. As part of our dynamic team, you will collaborate closely with a small group of professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, in a supportive and positive work environment.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite position within our outpatient office setting. Your regular work hours will be from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient needs, set realistic treatment goals, and establish effective rehabilitation strategies.
• Manage a caseload effectively, typically treating one patient per hour to ensure quality care and personalized attention.
• Create and administer tailored therapy interventions that enhance range of motion, strength, and mobility, minimizing the reliance on pain medications.
• Design and implement customized fitness and wellness programs to foster patient engagement and promote long-term health benefits.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, to facilitate recovery and alleviate pain.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate results with both patients and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient services using EMR software such as WebPT.
• Encourage patients throughout their recovery to enhance motivation and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapist will primarily work with patients who are recovering from orthopedic conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, and sports injuries. Our patient demographic is diverse, encompassing a broad age range, each with unique goals and challenges. Your role will be crucial in developing trusting relationships with patients, helping them navigate their recovery while empowering them to take charge of their health.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions on your license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a patient caseload and understand diverse therapeutic interventions.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful treatment plans that yield positive patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
