Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyze patients' conditions, designing tailored treatment plans based on their individual needs and referral information from physicians.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic practices to address various diagnoses—including orthopedic, neurological, pediatric, and sports medicine cases—in a compassionate and effective manner.
• Monitor and document patients' progress accurately, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery.
• Provide thorough patient education, ensuring that patients and their caregivers understand treatment goals and methods.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes through coordinated care.
• Maintain open lines of communication with patients and office staff, exemplifying strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Oakbend, you will engage with a diverse client base, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, children with developmental disorders, athletes needing rehabilitation, and patients with neurological conditions. Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license to practice in Virginia.
• Completion of a physical therapy education program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification recognized by the American Heart Association.
