Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician referrals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Utilize various modalities and techniques—such as manual therapy, exercise regimens, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation—to promote recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and maximize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine clients. Your treatment plans will vary widely, allowing you to utilize your expertise to address conditions from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management. Building rapport and establishing trust will be essential, as your approach will directly influence the recovery process of each patient.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a related role, providing direct patient care.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with patients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and other relevant software systems.
• Ability to foster strong relationships with patients and their families, ensuring they feel cared for and supported throughout their treatment journey.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required, candidates with more extensive backgrounds in specialized areas, such as geriatrics or sports rehabilitation, will be strongly considered.
