Work Environment

Located in Fairfax, VA, our facility offers a state-of-the-art environment designed for optimal patient care. You will work alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals in an onsite setting that encourages learning and development. Our scheduled operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life equation.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients' functional limitations and disabilities, followed by developing personalized treatment plans based on individual needs and goals.
• Provide thorough evaluation services including reviewing medical histories, conducting specific assessments, and documenting treatment recommendations and outcomes.
• Implement effective treatment protocols that are aligned with evaluation findings, tailoring therapies to the unique presentation and evolving needs of each patient.
• Monitor and document changes in patients' conditions, making adjustments to care plans as necessary and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams when required.
• Engage in proper discharge planning and follow-up care, meticulously documenting all patient care activities to ensure comprehensive records are maintained.
• Complete corporate and clinical training as mandated, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations throughout your practice.
• Actively participate in facility meetings and engage with team initiatives aimed at improving patient access and care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on outpatient orthopedic patients, ranging from those recovering from surgeries to individuals seeking relief from chronic pain and functional impairments. You will be instrumental in helping these patients regain strength, mobility, and independence, contributing significantly to their rehabilitation journey. By implementing tailored therapies, you will help enhance their overall well-being and achieve their personal health goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of 2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience is essential to effectively manage our patient caseload.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety in all therapeutic engagements.

Preferred Experience

Experience with advanced orthopedic treatment techniques and proficiency in contemporary rehabilitation technologies are strongly preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will enhance documentation efficiency and patient tracking.

Compensation and Benefits
