Work Environment

You will work within a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technologies. Scheduled weekdays from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, you will enjoy a structured work schedule that promotes work-life balance while allowing you to maximize patient care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Consulting with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients, while documenting any changes in a patient's condition requiring modifications to the treatment plan.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient's evaluation findings and current health status, thereby optimizing rehabilitation outcomes.
• Performing thorough evaluation services where you will review patients' medical histories, carry out specific physical assessments, and determine treatment recommendations that align with their rehabilitation goals.
• Completing all discharge planning and ensuring appropriate follow-up care is in place, including timely documentation of patient progress and goal attainment, which is essential for shared understanding among the care team.
• Maintaining compliance with all state/local/federal regulations, as well as actively engaging in required corporate and clinical training sessions to enhance your skills.
• Clearly documenting the medical necessity for physical therapy services while maintaining respectful and open communication with patients, family members, and third-party payors.
• Participating in facility meetings and contributing ideas to optimize team operations and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work predominantly with patients recovering from orthopedic surgery, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal issues. Your expertise will help guide individuals through rehabilitation processes aimed at restoring function, reducing pain, and enhancing overall health. By building strong rapport with patients, you will motivate and empower them throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the State of Virginia.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

We require at least 2 years of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation preferred. Experience with various therapeutic modalities and familiarity with electronic health record systems will be advantageous.
