Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth evaluations of patients' physical abilities and functional limitations to effectively diagnose conditions.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and neuromuscular reeducation.
• Utilize gait analysis and functional movement assessments to determine appropriate interventions and assistive devices.
• Document patient progress meticulously, including treatment responses and adjustments to care plans as needed, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to re-evaluate therapeutic goals and strategies based on patient progress and feedback.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, rehabilitation exercises, and proper use of assistive devices.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices through participation in workshops, conferences, and professional societies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will provide care to a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors experiencing musculoskeletal injuries or undergoing postoperative rehabilitation. You will work with conditions ranging from sports injuries, arthritis, and fractures to pre- and post-surgical interventions. Your ability to tailor treatment approaches to individual needs will be vital in supporting their recovery journey and achieving optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
