Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, individualized physical therapy services that are tailored to meet the unique goals and challenges of each patient.
• Assess patients' needs through detailed examinations, and establish a baseline to track progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based techniques to improve patients' mobility and function, leveraging your knowledge of orthopedic injuries and rehabilitation methods.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation practices, injury prevention, and self-management techniques to encourage ongoing recovery.
• Maintain meticulous documentation for each patient, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and facilitating clear communication with the interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor and evaluate patients' progress continuously, modifying treatment plans to maximize outcomes based on real-time data and patient feedback.
• Incorporate wellness programs into therapy that promote strength, flexibility, and overall physical well-being, empowering patients beyond rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on a diverse range of patients across various age groups, primarily those recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries. Expect to work with individuals who are returning from joint replacements, sports-related injuries, and chronic conditions requiring rehabilitation. Your empathetic approach will be vital in addressing the psychological aspects of recovery and ensuring each patient feels supported throughout their journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a commitment to ongoing education in orthopedic practices.
• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist licensure in Virginia.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription, with a focus on tailored care strategies.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for efficient documentation and patient tracking.
• Strong understanding of the latest evidence-based practices in physical therapy, especially those applicable to orthopedic patient care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years' experience in an outpatient or home care physical therapy setting.
• Specialized training or certifications in orthopedic physical therapy or sports medicine.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is competitive, ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
