Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Woodbridge facility but may also include home visits as part of our Home Care services. You will work closely with a passionate team of healthcare professionals in a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide a nurturing atmosphere conducive to recovery. The workspace is equipped with the latest therapeutic tools and technologies, enhancing our ability to deliver effective treatment plans. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for balanced work-life dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop personalized treatment plans focused on enhancing mobility and overall physical function.
• Utilize specialized knowledge in orthopedic care to implement individualized therapy interventions that foster recovery.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations of patient progress to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to support healing and prevent further injuries.
• Employ evidence-based practices and apply various treatment techniques, including manual therapy and exercise regimen development.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment results in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster comprehensive patient care, enhancing the rehabilitation experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and other orthopedic issues. As a Physical Therapist with Med Fit, you will directly interface with patients of various ages and backgrounds, tailoring your approach to accommodate their unique circumstances and treatment objectives. Your work will significantly impact patients' lives, helping them regain what they may have thought was lost.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent educational background.
• An active Virginia Physical Therapist license, with a clean professional record and no history of sanctions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the development of effective exercise programs.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Web PT, for documenting patient interactions accurately.
• A strong grasp of current physical therapy practices and methodologies supported by clinical research.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in outpatient settings, particularly within home care environments.
• Experience with patient education and motivation, focusing on promoting long-term wellness habits.
• Expertise in developing individualized fitness plans that incorporate patient-specific factors, including age and physical limitations.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an attractive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
