Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, with a focus on home care, allowing you to treat patients in their own environments. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to establish and track patient progress, ensuring evaluation processes adhere strictly to professional and state standards.
• Utilize advanced assessment tools to evaluate mobility, strength, and functional ability, setting achievable goals that empower patient recovery.
• Create comprehensive Treatment Plans collaboratively with patients and their families, ensuring that plans address both immediate rehabilitation needs and long-term health outcomes.
• Implement prescribed therapies consistently, making necessary adjustments based on continuous evaluation to maximize patient engagement and recovery success.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress in alignment with facility protocols and regulatory compliance, ensuring availability for interdisciplinary team reviews.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through attending workshops and pursuing relevant certifications, staying abreast of industry advancements to enhance the quality of care provided.
• Support fellow healthcare staff by promoting a culture of teamwork and open communication, contributing to an efficient and nurturing clinical environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse patient population ranging from older adults recovering from joint surgeries to younger individuals rehabilitating from sports injuries. A crucial aspect of your work will involve implementing therapeutic exercises and interventions that are adaptable to varying physical capabilities, ensuring each patient feels understood and empowered throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, with preference given to candidates with advanced degrees.
• Hold an active Physical Therapy license for the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (with AED) is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience providing physical therapy in a clinical or home care setting.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with patients and motivate them through empathetic communication and tailored treatment strategies.
• Familiarity with the responsible use, maintenance, and safety protocols of therapeutic equipment and modalities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience specifically in orthopedic rehabilitation is highly desirable.
• Background working in private practice or multidisciplinary teams.
• Additional certifications or training in specialized therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy, dry needling, or sports rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

• Attractive salary range of USD 90,000 – 100,000 per year , commensurate with your experience and qualification.
