Key Responsibilities

• Design and direct tailored physical therapy treatment plans focused on the prevention of disability, pain relief, and enhancement of muscle function in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure seamless implementation of prescribed treatment protocols.
• Conduct detailed evaluations of clients' functional capabilities through diagnostic tests and assessments of muscle, nerve, joint, and other functional abilities.
• Assess home environments and provide recommendations for modifications that enhance client independence and rehabilitation outcomes.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, including manual therapy techniques, traction, and various treatment modalities as prescribed by physicians.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, recommending necessary modifications to the prescribing physician.
• Document clinical findings meticulously, including evaluations, progress notes, care plans, and discharge summaries, to maintain compliance with organizational standards and regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations that drive holistic treatment approaches for clients.
• Instruct clients and their families on physical therapy regimens, home exercise programs, and use/care of therapeutic devices to ensure adherence and maximize outcomes.
• Provide consistent oversight and support to Physical Therapy Assistants during client treatments, ensuring compliance with state regulations and best practices.

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist with Restore, you will work primarily with a diverse patient population dealing with orthopedic conditions, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain management. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid physical therapy licensure in the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make autonomous decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• A commitment to professional development and a passion for clinical excellence.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Physical Therapist within an acute care or home care environment.
• Experience with orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and modalities, showcasing your ability to positively impact patient recovery.
• Familiarity with federal and state regulations pertaining to physical therapy practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
