Work Environment

This role is conducted on-site within patients' homes, offering a unique opportunity to interact with individuals in their everyday environments. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify their specific needs and develop tailored treatment plans that promote optimal recovery.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and the implementation of assistive devices to relieve pain and improve mobility.
• Track, document, and communicate patient progress through diligent record-keeping and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Reassess treatment effectiveness regularly and adjust plans to ensure patients are meeting their therapeutic goals.
• Provide guidance and training to patients, caregivers, and families on rehabilitation processes and the use of any recommended assistive devices.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, networking, and maintaining current knowledge in orthopedic physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic spans from pediatrics to geriatrics, dealing with a variety of orthopedic conditions including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Therapists will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with patients and impact their recovery by delivering individualized care that meets their distinct needs and aspirations.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this role.
• Valid State License to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia is essential.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with electronic health records and documentation systems.
• A flexible, adaptable mindset is crucial to managing diverse patient needs and varying home environments.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health or outpatient orthopedic settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with various orthopedic conditions and interventions will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
• Prior experience working with interdisciplinary teams can be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, complemented by a robust array of benefits.
