Work Environment

The physical therapist will work onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, equipped with advanced medical technology and resources designed to support diverse treatment approaches. The facility is designed to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patients, featuring spacious treatment areas, private therapy rooms, and areas suited for group therapy sessions. Our clinical team operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a consistent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for each patient to identify their unique needs and challenges.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized therapy plans grounded in evidence-based practice.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training, to promote recovery and enhance mobility.
• Set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for patient progress.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress using our electronic medical records system (WebPT preferred), ensuring precise tracking of treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and lifestyle modifications to support recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily serves adults with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical patients, those recovering from injury, and individuals with chronic pain or musculoskeletal disorders. As a Physical Therapist at Progression Physical Hand Therapy, you will work closely with these clients, utilizing your expertise to understand their specific challenges and motivate them towards improved physical function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; a Master's or Doctorate is preferred.
• Current and active licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Demonstrable experience in manual therapy and the application of rehabilitation techniques.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Experience with patient-centered care approaches and one-on-one patient interactions.
• Familiarity with WebPT or similar electronic medical records systems to enhance documentation efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits
