Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions and needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in alignment with physician referrals and best practices.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities tailored for orthopedic patients to facilitate recovery.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic care, ensuring patients experience improved function and quality of life.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on home programs and self-management strategies to enhance recovery.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to maximize effectiveness.
• Engage in regular communication with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in community outreach and health education programs to promote physical wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on orthopedic patients, but you will also have the chance to work with individuals from various backgrounds, including pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients. Each patient's treatment will be tailored to their unique circumstances, ensuring that you can apply your expertise flexibly and effectively across a range of therapeutic needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a physical therapy program accredited by either the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or CAPTE.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to foster strong patient relationships.
• Proficient in computer skills, including electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation is preferred.
• Experience with evidence-based practice approaches in patient treatment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for building rapport with patients and families.
• Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration within a healthcare setting.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:
