Work Environment

This position is set in an onsite rehabilitation facility equipped with the latest technology and resources to optimize patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations by reviewing patient history, assessing physical abilities, and determining individualized treatment plans that are accurately documented.
• Communicate evaluation findings effectively to both patients and their families, ensuring inclusion in goal-setting for rehabilitation.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient's specific needs, continuously adapting approaches based on their progress.
• Consult with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals when necessary to ensure comprehensive care.
• Monitor and document any changes in a patient's condition, adjusting care plans as required, including facilitating referrals for further medical consultations.
• Assist in discharge planning and follow-up care to maintain continuity of care, ensuring appropriate documentation of patient encounters throughout the treatment process.
• Manage time efficiently and meet productivity expectations while maintaining a punctual and organized schedule.
• Engage actively in department initiatives and participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Contribute to achieving departmental goals and comply with relevant governmental and accreditation regulations.
• Enhance patient access to quality care by removing barriers, utilizing data-driven insights from CSI measurement, and participating in Access NRH efforts.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our team is dedicated primarily to orthopedic patients, including post-surgical rehab, injury recovery, and preventative care. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, while a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Must possess a valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and education.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience is not mandatory, candidates with clinical internships or experiences specifically within orthopedic physical therapy will be given preference. Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of treatment modalities and rehabilitation techniques relevant to orthopedic conditions.
