Thrive Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Lorton, Virginia. As a Physical Therapist at Thrive Rehabilitation Center, you will work in a supportive and energetic team environment, with access to state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment. Our facility is designed to promote healing and recovery, featuring private treatment rooms, open spaces for group exercises, and specialized therapy areas. The center operates primarily in a traditional outpatient setting, allowing you to focus on one-on-one patient care during regular hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations to understand their functional limitations and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the assessment findings, ensuring alignment with professional standards of practice.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to promote healing and restore function.
• Set measurable goals for patients and track their progress effectively by adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Document patient evaluations and outcomes meticulously through an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, with preference given to WebPT.
• Educate patients and their families regarding therapeutic exercises, injury prevention techniques, and self-management strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in regular team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and care strategies.
• Maintain an ongoing commitment to professional development through participation in continuing education and training sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your therapy will be on orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting mobility and functionality. You will work closely with a diverse demographic that includes athletes seeking rehabilitation, seniors experiencing mobility challenges, and individuals with various musculoskeletal disorders. Your role is pivotal in empowering these patients to regain their independence and return to their daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• A strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and a proven understanding of rehabilitation practices for a variety of conditions.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy role is required, we highly value candidates with a background in outpatient orthopedic care who are comfortable working independently, as well as in a team setting. Experience with specific rehabilitation protocols for post-operative patients is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
