Work Environment

This position is an onsite role at our well-established rehabilitation facility located in Woodbridge, VA, a vibrant area known for its community-oriented spirit. You'll work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM alongside a team composed of two fellow physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). This collaborative atmosphere fosters effective communication, teamwork, and a unified approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs through comprehensive assessments and create personalized treatment plans tailored to individual goals.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring high standards of care with dedicated attention.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions that promote patient independence and reduce the need for surgical interventions.
• Utilize various therapies and treatment techniques to develop and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Stay current with treatment trends and integrate innovative practices into rehabilitation programs.
• Provide education and motivation to patients, encouraging adherence to their rehabilitation plans and lifestyle modifications.
• Document and track treatment outcomes, communicating progress regularly with patients and health care team members effectively.
• Collaborate closely with other health care professionals to ensure cohesive patient management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals with private medical insurance, many of whom present with orthopedic conditions ranging from post-operative recovery to sports injuries and chronic pain syndromes. Our approachable and knowledgeable staff ensures that each patient feels supported and empowered throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program is required.
• Possession of a valid physical therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no disciplinary actions against the license.
• Strong skills in manual therapy techniques and a robust understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Competency in developing and leading effective therapeutic exercise routines tailored to patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, is essential for efficient patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Diverse expertise in utilizing pain management techniques that minimize medication reliance and enhance patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging between USD 90,000 and 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
