Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our outpatient office in Woodbridge, VA, where our dedicated team enjoys a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Stryker Physical Therapy, you will undertake various responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to identify functional limitations and establish individual treatment goals.
• Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices that specifically address the unique needs of each patient.
• Utilizing manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to optimize patient outcomes and accelerate recovery.
• Regularly monitoring and documenting patient progress to adjust treatment plans accordingly and achieve desired outcomes.
• Providing education and support to patients and their caregivers to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to discuss patient progress and integrate care strategies that enhance recovery results.
• Maintaining a high standard of customer service that contributes to a positive patient experience and retention.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, including but not limited to orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Graduate of a physical therapy program accredited by APTA or CAPTE.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with patients and team members.
• Proficient with word processing and other computer applications to manage documentation and patient records.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in outpatient settings will have an advantage in this role. A demonstrated history of successfully building rapport with patients and achieving positive treatment outcomes is essential. Additionally, an understanding of collaborative care models and experience with community outreach initiatives is preferred.
