Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations to assess patients' functional limitations and disabilities, utilizing standardized assessment tools and patient interview techniques.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations.
• Provide expert consultation to other healthcare providers to facilitate a seamless continuum of care for patients.
• Foster strong relationships with patients by interacting with empathy and respect, adhering to our established high standards of customer service.
• Document all treatments accurately in accordance with clinical and legal standards, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Engage in marketing, community outreach, and program development activities to promote health and wellness initiatives.
• Participate in the supervision and mentoring of physical therapy assistants and students, ensuring their professional development.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain and enhance clinical competence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clientele of our outpatient facility includes adults and seniors recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will be working closely with each patient, developing tailored rehabilitation approaches that address their unique needs and goals, ensuring a patient-centered experience throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state license in Physical Therapy for Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with team members.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and documentation software.

Preferred Experience

While new graduates are encouraged to apply, having prior experience in an orthopedic setting is preferred. A strong background in evidence-based practice, utilizing the latest methodologies and techniques in physical therapy, will be advantageous. Compensation and Benefits
