Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position in Home Care

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team at Balanced Bodies Wellness Center in Annandale, Virginia. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to patients in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with a strong emphasis on improving their mobility and overall quality of life. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work one-on-one with patients, guiding them through personalized treatment plans designed to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' specific goals, challenges, and rehabilitation needs.
• Manage a manageable caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour, to provide focused and individualized care.
• Implement evidence-based treatment plans that utilize a range of therapeutic techniques aimed at restoring mobility and functionality.
• Design dynamic fitness and wellness programs that are tailored to the strengths and limitations of each patient.
• Monitor progress regularly and adjust treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
• Document all patient care services accurately in compliance with guidelines, particularly utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) software such as WebPT.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient rehabilitation.
• Educate patients and family members on exercises, techniques, and lifestyle changes that promote health and well-being.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their treatment journey to optimize their recovery and functional independence.
• Strive to reduce dependency on medications and explore effective alternatives to surgeries when possible.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. As a physical therapist, your work will significantly impact their ability to regain strength, functionality, and independence in daily activities. Understanding each patient's unique situation and history is vital in customizing treatment approaches that yield the best results.

Qualifications

• A valid state license as a Physical Therapist and a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A strong professional reputation with a clean licensure record, free from disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exceptional capability in developing exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to track patient care efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to assess and treat a variety of orthopedic conditions effectively.
• Experience in patient education and the development of fitness and wellness programs.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 80,000 to USD 100,000 , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
