Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and challenges, analyze their unique situations, and formulate effective treatment plans in a home care setting.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as exercise regimens, manual therapy, and the use of assistive devices, to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that align with each patient's therapeutic goals, ensuring they are empowered to achieve maximum functional potential.
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, progress notes, and responses, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline documentation.
• Regularly reassess patient conditions to modify treatment strategies as necessary, fostering an adaptive approach to individual recovery processes.
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on proper exercise techniques and the use of assistive devices, ensuring a collaborative approach to rehabilitation.
• Participate in ongoing professional development by attending workshops, engaging with industry literature, and maintaining memberships in relevant professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population encompasses diverse age groups and medical conditions, including those recovering from orthopedic surgery, individuals with sports injuries, geriatric patients needing mobility assistance, and chronic pain sufferers. We tailor our approach to meet the unique needs of each patient, ensuring that care is both effective and empathetic.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey treatment plans and educate patients and their families.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including basic word processing and familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on orthopedic physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
